CLUB CAPTAIN'S FINAL 2025
On a bright and sunny Wednesday, 17 December 2025, the Captain’s Cup Final was eventually played.
Dean Lloyd and Mal Foster faced husband-and-wife team Dorothy and Geoff Drewer. Well supported by Pedras members, both teams displayed excellent bowls, character, and great camaraderie throughout the match.
Dean and Mal took an early lead, only to be reeled in by Dorothy and Geoff as the contest tightened. It was a closely fought game, played in great spirits and marked by steely determination from all four players.
In the end, Dean and Mal pushed ahead to secure an 18–8 victory—a scoreline that did not truly reflect the closeness and excitement of the match.
Club Sponsor, Clive Burke of The Old Barrel & The Charette Bar & Restaurant was on hand to present the trophy.
