The 2023 competition ran throughout the week commencing Monday 3rd July.  The original thirteen bowlers were whittled down over three rounds until just two - both former champions - remained   On the afternoon of Friday 7th, Peter Barker and Geoff Worrall, together with marker Steve Turner, took to the green to contest the final.  After five ends, there was only one shot between the bowlers but then Geoff pulled away steadily and, after sixteen ends, he held an eleven shot advantage.  Peter then won the next five ends and his deficit was reduced to just three shots.  However, Geoff then edged away again and the final score, after twenty-six ends, was 21-15.
